KAGADA 2011

KAGADA is our annual technical paper and poster presentation contest. This year also we received more than 30 papers out of which 14 were short listed for presentation. The event was inaugurated by Prof. H N Mahabala, former Professor at IIIT Bangalore and IIT Madras and Dr. Venugopal K R, Principal and Dean, UVCE. After the inauguration, two paper presentation sessions started simultaneously. Students from IIITB, RVCE, SJCE, VIET, BMSCE, SSCE and UVCE presented their research work.
We also had a poster presentation contest where innovative ideas are presented as posters explaining their work. The sessions were followed by a lunch break and validictory. Students from SJCE, RVCE, IIITB and UVCE bagged the prizes in paper presentation contest.
Anti Enineering

Anti Engineering - a fun event was organised as ripple event. The main theme of the event is that you have to come up with an idea which is technically impossible but helps to improve the present conditions. An image depicited the event where a car had a magnet attached to it and the car moves as the magnet attracts the metal! :)
We had prize winning concept of a lock which uses light rays from a special source to unlock and a car whose exhaust pipe is directed down which causes car to fly and reduces friction with ground!
